In keeping with my string of vacation pictures, here is the casualty of Splash Mountain.
Our log was perfectly loaded — or misloaded, depending on your point of view. Aubrey was in the front, so the water went right over her head. The back of the boat had lots of weight (ahem) so that we made a nice big splash.
Jenny made an excellent shield. I got a little wet, but nothing quite like that.
If you’ve got time, Wikipedia’s description of Splash Mountain is fascinating. I remember riding the ride and wondering how difficult it must have been to pack so much ride into the mountain. It turns out that the secret is to hide the ride outside the park.
